About the Role


THE ROLE

We are seeking an Email Marketing Manager to ensure our digital customer communication is as effective as possible. This position is an integral part of our client's marketing team and the owner of our client's marketing and transactional email channels. This position will collaborate heavily with other marketing team members to optimize email campaigns that drive customer retention and lifetime value.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Own all automated marketing and transactional email campaigns end-to-end: from strategy and build to reporting, analysis, and optimization.
Plan, design, and execute lifecycle marketing tests to uncover opportunities for driving increased engagement and conversion.
Work with product and marketing stakeholders to ensure lifecycle communications are closely aligned with product releases and user experience.
Create, maintain, and update automated workflows.
Track key performance indicators from disparate sources to generate weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
Develop best practices and program playbook, monitor industry trends and make team-wide recommendations on other marketing programs based on campaign insights.


REQUIREMENTS:


3+ years of email marketing experience, preferably using marketing automation technology at scale.
Analytical and knowledgeable of the nurture funnel from email capture, to conversion, to retention. Must be able to identify KPIs that are under/over-performing and make recommendations to optimize.
Excellent organizational and communications skills, with the ability to translate technical data into actionable insights, and sales and marketing goals into effective digital campaigns.
Strong writing skills as well as an eye for design.
Industry knowledge of best practices (ex: mobile friendly design, ESPs, ideal send times).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, V/HLOOKUP) and managing large data sets.
Proven ability to accomplish objectives and work proactively; capacity for learning quickly in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills, with a sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent work experience.
